How is Vital Scout more accurate than wrist worn devices?
Vital Scout uses ECG sensors to provide a more accurate reading of Stress & Recovery in comparison to wrist-worn devices, which commonly use optical photoplethysmography (PPG) sensors.
What is the correct placement of the patch?
For the most accurate measurements, the patch needs to be placed horizontally over the upper left chest area.
Is the Vital Scout patch reusable?
Yes. Each charge lasts about 72 hours, and can be reapplied with a new adhesive.
Can I wear the patch longer than 3 days?
Yes! As long as the patch still has a charge. Otherwise you will need to recharge the patch and apply a new adhesive.
How often does the adhesive need to be replaced?
In general, the adhesive does not need to be replaced until you need to recharge the patch, or if it has been damaged by water or other factors.
Can I shower with the Vital Scout patch on?
The Vital Scout Patch should withstand short showers. It is water resistant, but we do no recommend submerging the device in water as it may distort accuracy.
Is the patch material safe?
Yes. The materials on the patches are biocompatible, lead-free, and BPA-free.
